The classes will be continuous at Hoffhine’s from 9 o'clock in the morning until 5 o'clock im the after- noon. In order to give housewives and business women whose time is occupied during the day, a chance to take advantage of the classes, there will be a special sergion on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7 until 9 o'clock. The ladies purchase their materials and the in- struction Is free. Most of the W&fendants secured their liberty by paying fines. Harry Barth, charged with petty larceny and violation of the drug act was sentenced to thirty days in Jail. The case against Mary Foster, ac- cused of violation of the drug act and who is at liberty on $200 bond, was continued until this afternoon, John Eagan, booked as being an inmate of a place where liquor was found, paid a $10 fing, Neil Erickson who at the time of his arrest was allaged to have had a one-half pint of Uquor in his possession, pald a $5 fine. A $25 fine was paid by John Gustafson, also charged with illegal possession of liquor, G, O, Shefstead, arrested for speed- ing, pald a fine of $10. L. D. Hurley, booked for passing cars at in inter- section, forfeited a $5 bond. A $15 fine was paid by J, A. Allen, charged with being drunk. EB. P. Herbert paid a $10 fine for speeding. Ke Ida Bushnell, who had served 12 days out of a 15 day sentence, ob- tained her release by paying $3. R. A. Lindsay, fined $100 on February 26, wajved an appeal and paid the fine which Judge Murray had im- posed. A. H. McElhaney, fined $25 a few days ago, paid the fine and waly- ed an appeal. The case against Axel Thyrean concerning an auto accident on March 4, was dismissed. R. D. Mat- thews, booked in connection with an auto aceident on March 4, paid a $10 fine. Florence Collins paid a $15 fineon conviction of being drunk. Ida Mo; Alister charged with violation of the drug ordanince, pald a $50 fine. Oth- ers charged with being inmates of the McAlister house where liquor was found, were fined $10 each and paid in the cash to the court. They were Mildred Miller, A. David St. | $4,000 COMPENSATION IN JURY AWARD HERE Ben Sanders, Midwest Refining company employe, who was injured September § last in a gas explosion, was yesterday awarded full com- pensation of $4,000 against the com- pany by a jury in district court. Sanders had his hip fractured, his back injured and was burned about the body by the explosion.
