E. Sweet, today removed W. V. Roberts, civil service commissioner, from his office, carried him into the hallway at the state capitol and’ took his keys from lim. Roberts did not make any cal’ resistance He merely notified the millt officers that ‘he had been adv’ by his attorney to re. sist the ouster froém office. \ The military officers carried’ out their work in a friendly manner. There was no disorder. Henry A, Hicks, appointed by the governor to succeed Roberts, there. phy upon took over the office. / The action followed Roberts’ re- fusal to surrender the office.
