Dacken will head the Natrona County Medical associa- tion for the coming year, having been named president of the organ!- zation at last night’s meeting at the Henning hotel. Other officers in- clude Dr. H. L. Harvey, vice prest- dent; Dr. T. J. Riach, secretary and . Neil C. Geis, a member for the uing three years of the board of censors. Dr. W. W. Yates, Dr. J. R. Han- d and Dr. H. L, Stanton were ysen as delegates to the state cal society meeting with Dr. N. C. Geis, Dr. Mark Smith and Dr. A. P, Kimball as alternates. ‘An informal discussion of the pro- posed legislation to reduce the amount of alcohol to be prescribed by physicians from ‘one pint to four ounces was held, practically every physician present entering his pro- test to the proposed bill. It was the consensus of opinion that no doctor should be restricted in making these prescriptions since a putient’s health is the first thing to be considered, and if in the doctor's estimation, a greater amount than four ounces should be given, the doctor should be legally permitted to prescribe. The legislative committee was au- thorized to draw a resolution to this effect, to be sent to each member of the state legislature, and to the sec- retary of the state medical society.
