Herriot and the reparation commission now are araiting the vote in the German reichstag before taking further actzon, but in view of the weakening nationalist opposition little doubt is felt here about the German acceptance and the final signature of the agreement on Sat urday at London. The Belgian cabinet has already given its ratification, without bring ing the matter before parliament, as there is no appreciable contro- versy in that country over the ac ceptanbility of the accord. Boclated Press}—The French senate today ratified the treaty of Lausanne with only twenty nega- tive votes after a debate of two hours. The chamber had voted rati- fication on Monday and thus the senate's action today gives of- ficial French adherence to the treaty which was signed July 24, 1923, Re- Establishing peace In the Near East. France is the fourth power to ratify the treaty which became ef. fective August 6, on its third ratift- ‘cation, that of Great Britain, Italy and Japan previous had voted their adherences.
