CHICAGO, Juty 17.—(By The As- sociated Press.)}—Concerted action by members of the Demo@atio na- ticnal committee from a number of western and southern states in an endeavor to make both the unit rule and two-thirds majority in- operative in future national con- ventions had advanced today to the stage of formal interchange of views on the subject, a member of the committee revealed. . A committee member from a west- has prepared a formal declaration for submission to the proposed meeting of the national committee at Clarksburg, W. Va early in August.
