Quietly and unexcitedly, somewhat lazily, in that charming way in which a brook is lazy, this picture dra- matizes a poem which appeared in the Fourth Readers of a quarter of a century ago, “Not One to Spare,” by Mrs. E. L. Beers. It’s a sentimental little thing, of course, but it's done in a homely manner with admirable tact. It might be recommended to all those who think a picture ought to havé plenty of red blood and thunder with maybe a seduction or two on the side to make it worth seeing. “Not One to Spare’ plays at the America tomorrow and Saturday.
