CHICAGO, June 19. — Police guards were placed around the home of Irvin Hartman, millionaire furnt- ture dealer, ‘ast night after a special delivery letter had been received threatening to kidnap his 10 year old son, Irvin, Jr., unless a $10,000 ransom was paid. The boy is one of several rich men’s sons who re selected by Nathan Leopold, Jr., and Richard Loeb, in jail awaiting trial for the kidnaping and siaying of Robert Franks, as possible subjects for kid- naping.
