You folks who are fortunate enough to have a little time to yourselves on Sunday, and who have an automo- bile in working order need not worry about spending a dull day, for Casper and vicinity fairly reeks with likely spots in which to spend @ day and evening in peace, and soak up a bit of rest, really needed after a week in an office or on the job at a manufacturing company. Recent dry weather has put all state highways in mid-summer con dition, and made fairly easy going trails of the county roads.’ Mainte- mance crews have worked steadily on all highways of importance dur- ing the past two weeks and the re- sult of their labors is easy sailing for the week end motorist. Bridge Calm . crews have performed their duty faithfully and*there {s now no im- portant bridge lsted among the missing with exception of a small structure north of Nelber on the Yellowstone highway {n the north- ern part of the state. A suitable fdetour has been provided around this bridge, however, and it is not seriously interfering with travel. ‘Word was received Friday from the state highway department that the long lamented bridge over the Badwater river at Bonneville, on the néw Wind River canyon road to Thermopolis ts practically complete, and will be opened on Sunday to It will be closed for completion, and will then be thrown open to everyday travel. For several months it has been necessary for cars making the trip to Thermopolis to be towed by team through the raging torrent.
