RAM JOHNS TO WAKE. AAG WN NEW JERSE Campaign for Votes in National Convention Is Launched. NEWARK, N. J., April 17.— Senator Johnson of California has entered the New Jersey campaign for Republican national convention delegates with an assertion that the cause of present conditions at Wash- ington is the “recrudescence of the unholy alliance between crooked big business and crooked politics.’’ In a speech at Newark last night, the senator also characterized the recent speeches of Senator Pepper and Secretary Hughes as lacking even “conventional indignation” at “what has been disclosed in Wash- ington.” President Coolidge was contrasted with Theodore Roosevelt, who, Senator Johnson said, “would have settied the whole oll scandal in 48 hours.” Senator Johnson said Secretary Mellon was the dominant factor in the Republican party and that there- fore he should be the presidential nominee. Senator Johnson said he was in the fight until the end. He will speak in Jersey City and Hoboken tonight. But they wouldn’t eat ordi- nary brans. They didn’t like them. Most folks don’t. Then their father tried Kellogg’s’ Bran, cooked and krumbled. What a diff¢rencel, Ho tells the story in his letter: - “Dear Sirs: of’ ikrumbled bran; which I he your ran, w ve used for my children this summer. ‘We had a great deal of trouble with them through constipation, and bran had been the most satisfactory rem- edy but they could not be induced to take the old varieties . . . because they disliked them so, They enjoy the Krumbled bran and consider jt an essential ingredieuit of their porridge. No one whose children have not been troubled in this way can appreciate the ‘relief there is in having their bowels move regularly.” (The original of this letter is on file I hee at the Kellogg Company, Battle Creek, Mich.) Constipation is a dangerous disease. It should not be neglected. But do not try halfway measures in seeking relief. Kellogg’s Bran is ALI bran. And it takes ALL bran to be 100% effective. Kellogg’s Bran is guaran- teed to bring permanent relief, if eaten regularly, in the most chronic cases. If it fails, your grocer will re- turn you? money. Eat two tablespoonfuls daily—in chronic cases, with every meal. Eat it with milk or cream, Tho flavor is delicious. Sprinkle it on other cereals. Cook it with hot cereals. The purpose of Miss Ross’ organization is to dis- seminate strictly Coolidge literature and work among the women of the state from the national standpoint, while the women's Republican clubs are performing a similar service from the state and local community standpoint, A meeting was held in the city yesterday with Mrs..B, B. Brooks, national committeewoman; Miss Marjory Ross, state president of the Wyoming unit of Coolidge Women's Clubs of America, and Mrs. L. C. Harnsberger, chairman of the Fre- mont county Woman's Republican club, were present to confer with others gn matters 6f organization. The decision was reached to launch g vigorous campaign at once and the word has gone out to the Republican women of the state to attend the county conventions held for the purpose of selecting dele- gates to the state convention to be held at Lander, on May 12th, and in- sist upon a share of the delegate- ships to the convention. ‘Two reasons are advanced for a Uberal representation of women at the state convention, One is that a woman is to be chosen at that time to act as associate state chair- man and look after the women’s in- terests and to be attached to the reg- ular party state organization. The second reason is the selection of a state committeewoman who is to serve four years and who will be a part of the national organization. The women are prepared to pre- sent strong claims upon the state as delegates to the national convention at Cleve- land upon the strength of furnish- ing through thelr organization fully forty-five per cent of the Republi- fcan votes in the state. The demand will be made for one or more dele- gates. cee ana LONDON—Brig. Gen. Charles G.
