What {s an ‘innovation for Casper but not a new plan for other cities will be a series of Lenten services in the Rialto theater next week from Monday to Thursday, at 12:15 p. m. On Good Friday there will be a service from 12 noon to 3 p. m. in the First Methodist church, corner, of East Second street and: South Durbin street. Such service has been held in this church on Good Friday for the past two years with such success that’ another has been arranged by the Ministerial Association. It is) not required that any one stay| throughout the three hours service though many did last year, The de- tails of the service will be announc- ea | THERMOPOLIS PLANS BREA FETE FR NEW ROAD OPENING I JULY THERMOPOLIS, Wyo., April 10. —Committees from the chamber of commerce and Liberty club are working out a program for the open- ing celebration of Wind River Canyon road, five miles south of here, First cars went through the canyon January 22, after which the road was open to travel on Sundays April 1 the road was opened every day to public travel. The opening celebration will be July 1, 2 and 3. Many state officials, including Governor W. B, Ross, will be here. Former Governor Robert D. Carey, to whom much credit for the road may be given, present and former | #4; members’ of the state highway board and others interested, are coming to take part in the program. In addition to speech making and proper dedication of the road ar- rangements are ‘being made for one of the biggest carnival compantes in the country. There will be forty rounds of boxing; a big rodeo and wild west exhibition and a fleet of, airplanes under the direction of Cap- tain R. I. Copsey of Thermopolis. Captain Copsey is a filer with a fine record in the World war. L. J. Duhig, editor of Thermopo- lis Record, one of the old time rest- dents of Hot Springs county and Wyoming, has charge of the meet- ing of old-timers who will be here to see the dream of other days come true.
