LOVELL, Wyo., Feb. 9.—Crazed from drinking liniment and alcohol, Evans, 28 years old, shot fe y Killed his roommate and lifelong friend, George Marlan 23, in the washroom of th nd hotel here. The bullet en- tered Marland’s neck and came out nt the base of the brain. The details of the quarrel which preceeded the shooting are not known as the two men were alone. Both were glass workers and had been employed in a local glass fac- tory for the last year. Evans re- cently received a $700 bonus from the state of Kansas and quit his job since which time he is said to have been drinking heavily. Evans is being held in the Big Horn county jail at Basin and will be charged with first degree mur: der. Streets roadways and railroad tracks which were blocked by the blizzard of Monday and Tuesday ‘were again threatened by the snow and there was every indication that many cities of the state would be snow bound by morning if the snow- fall continues.
