FARRELL (United Press Sports Editor) NEW YORK, Nov. 9.—(United Press). —Perhaps the “Big Three” has lost most or all of the priority rights that it formerly exercised over all football interests. Since the great college game spread to the fertile fields of the middiewest and south, the “Big Three” no doubt has lost much of its prestige, point of being the “Little Three.” By an unusual lull in the sched we which, up to the present time. has been choked with a flock of most interesting games, Harvard and Princeton will resume their old place and top tomorrow's card. The rather tattered Tigers and the always strong Harvard eleven will start the fight for the “Big Three” championship in the Palmer Stadium at Princeton. Defeated, and made to look very bad by that great Notre Dame ma chine, the Tigers will not carry into the game the Interest that would be attached to an undefeated team and © prominent contender for the east- ern championship that Princeton has been in the habit of developing im the past three years. Harvard, without the great George Owen, has not been as formidable as in past years, but regardless of the possibility thet neither team meas: ures up to past standerds, the Princeton-Harvard game is rich tn its tradition and prestige and the established classic of the day. It may turn out to be the best game of the day. There are no quitters among the Tigers, and it Is quite possible that the reverses of the earlier season will be the mak- fmge of m great team against Har- vard and Yale. Bobbing up out of the schedule, the Notre Dame-Nebraska game at Lincoln may look like an easy day for the great team which Knute Rockne has assembled at South Bend. After seeing Notre Dame fn all Its brilliance win from the Army, 4 team that promised to be one of the most powerful teams of the east. and after watching that fine eleven one week later when it gave a lesson to the masters of eastern football by thrashing the Princeton Tigers, it was hard to conceive of any team in the country that stood even a small chance of beating Rockne's band. Nebraska, power of the Missouri ‘Valley conference for two years, ap- parently is not as formidable as it was last year, but the Notre Dame players approach the game with gome concern. After the Princeton game, the *Micks” said Nebraska was the enty team on their schedule they were concerned about as they have been brought around to the belief that they are always jinxed in a game against Nebraska. It has been a hard, exacting schedule for Notre Dame, with one terrific game after another one, and if the eleven is not right on edge for this game it will be nobody's fault. eee Penn State and Georgia Tech wil) offer an interesting intersectional game at State College. The south erners, not quite so good as they have been in the past, will find one fine large job in stopping young Barry Wilson, an All-American halt- back, if there is one in the east. Wilson is one of the finest players and he bas carried the burden of scoring almost entirely upon his shoulders.
