Kellogg, former United States Senator from Minnesota, has been selected for American ambassador to London. He will succeed George Harvey, who recently resigned and the appointment is expected to be- come effective in the near future. He will leave for England Novem- ber 10. Mr. Kellogg who was one of the little coterie of personal friends who accompanied the late President Harding on most of his trips away from Washington and a_ frequent guest at the White House during the Harding administration, is a lawyer by. profession. During the single term he served in the senate he de- voted considerable attention to for- eign affairs, was a leader of the “mild reservationtsts” in the Ver- sailles treaty fight and served as a member of the foreign relations committee.
