THURSDAY, JUNE 28, 1923. —————— SOCIETY RECENT AND COMING EVENTS | N SOCIAL CIRCLES OF CASPER At 8 miscellaneous shower given Tuesday evening by Mrs. Jolenorsy at her home on South McKinley street the marriage of Miss Eva Renolds to Leo Nau was announced by letting a» black cat out of a bag on whose neck the news was tied. The marriage took place Wednesday. June 20, at the home of Mra. C, W. Andrews on South Beech street with the Rev. Charles A. Wilson officiating. Miss Genevieve Glasglow acted as bridesmaid. Fol- lowing the ceremony Miss , Frances MoCarthy played a wedding march after which a reception was held. Mr. And Mra. Nau will leave in a short time for California, where they will visit with Mr. Nau’s parents for a month after which they will return to Casper to make their home here. The bride is a popular gir! of the city having lived here for some time, Mr. Nau is a brother of Miss Genetve Nau of the Casper Floral company and is connected with the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy rail- road, f . Party at Swingle Ranch Last Evening Mr. and Mrs. Charles Swingle were hosts at an enjoyable strawberry fes- tival given last evening at their ranch west of the city in honor of Miss Vera Almquist who is leaving overland soon for Canada and the coast. The evening was spent in play- ing music selections. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Case, Mrs. W. B. Case, Mrs, L, P. Mathis, Miss Vera Almquist, Miss Sarah Swingle and Mrs. H. C. Mathis. . . . De Molay Dance Tomorrow Night Increased interest during the past week has been manifested in the De- Molay dance which will be given at the Masonic temple tomorrow evening between the hours of 9 and 12 o'clock. An excellent orchestra will provide the latest hits in music, and light refreshments will be served throughout the evening. The dance {s to welcome the home coming of college students who may use this means of meeting friends whom they have not seen for several months. Kensington—Garden Creek picnic. eee Holme-Fatrburn Marriage Wednesday. Miss Elsie Holme and Roy T. Fatr- burn, both of this city, were married Wednesday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents, 844 South Jack- son street, the Rev. J. M. Cromer, pastor of the Grace English church officiating. They were attended by Mi Letha Walker of Douglas and Frederick A. Bray. Others present at the ceremony were Miss Ann Holme, Thomas Johnson, Clifford Holme, Ralph Holme and Mrs. Malene Oftsjord, recently from Nor- way. ‘The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Holme id has lived in Casper for some time. Mr. Fairburn is manager of the stock room of the Boyle garage.
