Seattle, 3; Los Angeles, 6 PERKINS FACES HARDEST FIGHT OF CAREER IN BATTLE MORDAY NIGHT WITH HUGHIE WALKER Harvey Perkins, pride of the local heavyweight division, is tackling about the best man he has met in his short career as a fighter when he takes on Hughie Walker of Kansas City on the Elks’ card next Monday evening. Perkins has lost only one fight since he began to swing’ the padded gloves and has won five of his last eight bouts by the knocKout route. If he wins from Walker he hopes to step out next fall and take on some of the big boys. Walker and his manager, Jay Thomas, are expected in today from Kansas City. Walker has been fight- ing regularly all winter and is in fine shape. A couple of days to acclimate himself to the altitude is all that he needa to be able to climb through the ropes and do his stuff. The boys are down for 12 rounds at catchweights. The semi-windup brings together Charley Long and Matt Flanagan. The former is too well known here- about to need an introduction.
