Eary Sunday afternoon, after easily pulling the east test hill in both low and intermediate gear, the car failed tm several attempts on the west grade. A more experienced driver made three unsuccessful attempts and took the ear to the garage for a slight adjust: ment of the spark control. After which he returned to the test hill, and five times in succession nosed up to the foot of the steep incline, stopped, shifted to low and climbed stead!'y, slowly and sturdily over the grade. So encouraged was the driver over the excellent performance of the car in low gear, that he decided to take a short run from the end of the pave- ment in an attempt to make the grade in second gear, The car went. over easily, and he repeated the perform ance amid the blasts of approval from the horns of a hundred assembled cars at the foot of the hill.
