WINTER As Congressman From.Wyoming On November Seventh 1. BECAUSE he is eminently qualified to fill the position in Such manner as to bring honor and re- spect to our state, to which, in love and loyalty, he stands second to none. ° 2. BECAUSE of his thorough knowledge and comprehensive vision of the requirements of the many and varied industries of this state, and especially his enthusiastic support of any and all feasible irriga- tion projects, which mean so much to the agricultural expansion of the entire state, and to‘the City of Casper and Natrona County in particular. 3. BECAUSE of his fearless integrity, honesty and loyalty to any and every trust reposed in him, 4, BECAUSE he is absolutely free from any embarrassing entanglezaents, and is ander no obliga- tion to any person, clique, or faction which might interfere with his doing his full duty, without fear or favor to his constituents, the people of Wyoming. : $ 5. BECAUSE of his unswerving interest in the welfare and prosperity of the Wyoming stockgrowers, farmers, laboring men and soldiers, never omitting an opportunity, by words and actions, to better their conditions, as evidenced by his public utterances and works in their behalf during the twenty years of his residence in the state of his adoption. 6. BECAUSE of his diligent and untiring efforts for and on behalf of the principles involved in this campaign, and through his forceful and convincing arguments and logical conclusions of the issues, in his forty speeches in all parts of this state, the reports come to us, that he had made better Americans, cleaner citizens and more enthusiastic Republicans, who are voicing his words in every hamlet of this great Wyoming state, echoing praise to the candidates of the Grand Old Party. We, his friends, know the above to be facts, true in every respect. Judge Winter, being too modest to speak for himself in matters personal, his friends must say these things for him. But he is net too modest to speak for and of his people and his state in asserting their rights and their demands in the National councils. Wyoming will have in him not only a sympathizer and well wisher, but a CHAMPION to en- force its claims ably and successfully in Congress. F. O’Don- nell, was repudiated by Jack Scott; who is quoted as saying that he refused to sign it and that further it was published over his name in a feeble attempt to make it appear as a signed article. : Strain at a Gnat and Swallow a Camel The attitude of Mr. Byron Huie, formerly of Atlanta, Ga., (the home of the Imperial Wizard of the K. K. K., that invisible empire which has undertaken the self-imposed task of displacing our recognized government and giving something just as good, but a trifle more strenuous), would give the impression that everything being lost he must needs con- centrate upon at least one minor office and in a last-minute bombastic effort elect a coun- ty commissioner and thus save something from the wreckage. In passing let us say that the Invisible Empire has found no place upon the Independ- ent Voters’ ticket. It is condemned utterly and without a single redeeming comment. We knew that it is hard to realize that, after months of hard work and careful oiling of machinery, that this is not the south, but the far west where fair play and the square deal are the basis upon which men play the game. a Can it be possible that Mr. Hfie in his last-minute political dealing has forgotten the terrible political condemnation the people of Natrona County handed those who directed the mud-throwing and petty maligning which was a feature of the primary campaign? There are some good Democrats; men of strength who will serve the people in a meas- ure limited only by opportunity. Their names you will find on the Independent Voters’ ticket, which is made up of men who aré selected not for their party affiliation, but for their ability and willingness to serve the majority in an honest, business-like manner with a square deal to all. Mr. Huie will find that the people, which includes all political faiths, have the brain power to think, when they roll up:a terrific majority for Mondell, Hay, Winter and the rest of the State, County and City ticket as proposed'by this association. : Read the ticket and ask Mr. Huie to’soft pedal his brass band, mud-slinging cam- paign. * United States Senator—Frank Wheeler Mondell.
