GOODRICH CUTS SATURDAY, JULY 29, 1922. Ten to Fifteen Per Cent Clipped from Recent Quo- tations, Report. The B. F. Goodrich company has announced new prices on all its one- quality automobile tiresa a reduction of from ten to fifteen per cent. This tremendous eaving in cost to the entire automobile industry is made in the face of a determined effort to control the rubber markets of the world by the Britis: and the Dutch governments. Cotton, which is the biggest element in the cost of the modern tire, is materially rising in price, and in the face of a steadily increasing world consumption, tvith one of the smatiest’ holdover crops in years, and with only a neta crop in sight for this year, cotton pound to go much higher, The Good- rich price reduction is made in spite of these increased costs. ‘A conservation estimate of the auto- mobile tire bill for the United States in 1922 places: it at over a half biltton dollars, which means that the Good- rich price reduction on tires wiil save American motorists over $50,000,000. Even before today’s reduction Good- rich tire prices were less than half the peak war-time prices. The largest items in the cost of motor transporta- tion have been gasoline and tires, which up to now have been on about even levels. The new Goodrich prices raean that hereafter tire upkeep is re- duced to approximately one-half of the cost. rn an effort toward the creation 5) nsportation costs, some rub- Sr manutacturera have introduced eral reduction. Goodrich is optimistic regarding the future of Dusiness and especially so in the automobile industry. G4 CASES OF SPOTTED FEVER, 14 DEATHS IN CTATE THIS. B, Tonkin has an- nounced. “This is a considerably higher mor- tality than the fever has been credited with heretofore in Wyoming,” sald the doctor, ‘This year it has boen reported as occy~ting in both sexes and practically al: ages, the youngest due to infected ticks in the higher altitudes, where the insects are now emerging. However, all persons in tick areas—and especially campers and fishermen in the higher altitudes —should continue to give frequent in spection to their bodies and clothing.” fie na Teg Casper Movie To Be.Featured Soon ‘At The Columbia “Rush's Love Affari,” is the name of the picture that was shot on the streets of Casper a few weeks ago, and which will be shown at Columbia theater, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. ‘The characters of this film are loval 7 of them are well known to Casper cit!- + gens.
