TUESDAY, MARCH 28, 1922. | Dividend Paying Monarch of Texas Oil Outlines His €be Casper Daily Cridune PAGE SEVER Plans and Makes | Important Announcement The hour for action is at hand. The tedious hours of waiting gre over—my years of scouting and study and investigation are about to bear fruit. For five long years I have tramped up and down the sun-baked reaches of the State of Texas study- ing, surveying, mapping the promising oil-bearing areas of the greatest oil producing state in the union. Piece by piece and detail by detail I have worked out the geology of several areas that are, in my opin- ion, the most likely gusher yielding préperties in the United States. : During my thirty years’ experience in the oil busi- ness I have had actual experience in nearly every oil field in the world. I have traversed Europe, Asia and Africa, North and South America, Old Mexico, and the islands of the Pacific, but in all this experience I have never encountered structural conditions under which I could so confidently look for a vast reservoir of oil as I see in CRANE COUNTY TEXAS The hour for action is at hand—I AM GOING TO DRILL IN CRANE COUNTY. Upon a great natural arch or dome, upon what I feel confident is a perfect oil structure, I am going to strike for mil- lions for my associates and myself. As these lines are written my drilling rig is roll- ing toward Crane County. In a few days now I ex- pect to start drilling a well that in my opinion will + open up to mankind a veritable lake of oil, greater in extent and richer in production than the United States has ever known. Colonel Hatfield’s Unique Plan. The How and Why of Grub- stake Units In lieu of stated salaries or wages all the em- ployes and officials of the Texas-Mexia Drilling Syndicate are working on a co-operative profit- sharing “Grub-Stake” plan that works out as follows: 100,000 units of the Syndicate have been placed in escrow to be apportioned from time to time to all employes, from heads of depart- ments to the humble field workers. The num- bers of units alloted to each to be determined by Col. B. M. Hatfield, sole trustee, according to the value of services rendered. These units are escrowed, not given or-sold to any employe, and the interest of each indi- vidual in his or her escrowed units is confined to the dividends therefrom _ for such time as he or she remains a loyal employe of the Syndicate. In the event of a worker’s death during em- ployment, one-half of the dividends automatical- ly cease and the other half reverts'to the em- ploye’s estate in perpetuity. _In the event of either total or partial dis- ability of any employe while on duty he or she receives the full benefit of the apportioned units. CLASSIFICATION OF GRUBSTAKE FORCE. Grubstake employes are divided into three classes: Class A—Heads of departments and office employes, including attorneys, chemists and engineers, to the number of 28. Class B—Drillers and drilling crews, to the number of 56. Class C—Refiners and distributors, to the number of 16. Making a total grubstake force of 100. MAXIMUM ALLOTMENTS OF GRUBSTAKE UNITS. ° Class A—One-tenth of 100,000 units, ‘or 10,000 units. Class B—One-twenty-fifth of 100,000 units, or 2,500 units, Class C—One-twenty-fifth of 100,000 units, or 2,500 units. PAYMENTS IN CASH. The payments in cash to the Grubstake force are determined by the trustee, as follows: Class A—Living expenses. Class B—-$12.50 per month and board while on a job. Class C—None. Cash payments to everybody cease when in- come from any other source reaches the amount of cash payments. My drill will also pierce the luscious sands of San Saba County. In a few days now I will spud in the first of a — es wells I plan to drill in this marvelous shal- ow field. San Saba County is no gamble—high grade oil is being produced there now at depths of from 700 to 1,000 feet; drilling is inexpensive, production almost certain. So I'am going to drill on my Syndicate’s 3,200. acre holdings in San Saba, and I do not intend to stop with one well. As rapidly as material can be assembled my “grubstake” drillers and “grubstake” crews will poke down hole after hole into the price- less deposits of high grade oil on our 3,200 acres. The hour for action is at hand in several oil fields. In Crane County, on 20,000 acres I will strike for millions for my shareholders and myself. In San Saba County, on 3,200 acres, I will pierce through shallow depths to almost certain produc- tion of high grade lubricating oil. In Kaufman County—aAh, there, too, the hour for action is at hand. On a 5,000-acre block of leases in Kaufman County my “grubstake” field forces and engineers are completing the surveys and the location for my first test well in that promising area that bids fair to yield production far in excess of the renowned Mexia pool. In Ector County I have secured for my Syndicate 20,000 acres of oi! and mineral leases covering tre- mendous commercial deposits of potash and possible petroleum. Ector County alone may yield millions for my Syn- dicate, and any day now I expect to announce that the hour for action is at hand in Ector County. 145% ‘Cash Dividends in I have paid 145 per cert cash dividends in five months. I am satisfied that this record stands unchal- lenged as the greatest quick cash profit paying rec- ord in recent Texas history.’ Without one drop of production, without drilling one well, without spending one dollar in actual ex- ploration for oil I have garnered for my stockhold- ers from the sale of water from one of our leases and from my ACREAGE DEALS sufficient margin of profit to return to my original unit holders 145 per cent cash dividends in five months, or all their money back and 45 per ceut “‘to boot.” ‘I mention the foregoing to prove to you that I am a worthy custodian of your money—a trustworthy trustee. 145 per cent cash dividends and no oil—imagine if you can, what fabulous fortunes I should be able to pay to my stockholders when— My Crane County well on 20,000 acres reaches the horizon where the wealth freighted sands should be encountered; when eager bidders with cash in hand haunt my camp anxious to pay me $500 to $1,000 per acre for part of our acreage— When our San Saba County wells, one after an- other, gurgle their amber wealth into the pipelines, and our 3,200 acres of San Saba County leases find a ready market at $200 to $500 per acre. When the Kaufman County test on 5,000 acres has drenched the crown block of its derrick with molten black gold—what then? Then I verily believe that I will tip the horn of plenty and pour into the laps of my unit holders wealth far in excess of their wildest dreams. - The hour for action is at hand—I want you with me. 500,000 UNITS Sold in Blocks of Not Less Than Ten. Only 25,000 Units to Be Sold at $1.25. TEXAS-MEXIA DRILLING SYNDICATE COLONEL B. M. HATFIELD, Sole Trustee SUITE 1211, F. & M. BANK BLDG. Reference—Any Old-Time Driller or Oil Operator in Any Part of the World. On March 24, my units advanced in price. In justice to those who rallied around me in this _ enterprise at its inception— In view of the tremendous development program that I am now inaugurating— In view of the tremendous increase in the actual physical valuation of the Syndicate’s holdings, this advance was inevitable. Today, this very minute, as you read these lines, the actual book value of Texia-Mexia Drilling Syndi- cate units is nearly $2.00 each. To continue selling these units at their par value of $1.00 would be industrial suicide. I feel in my heart that I should not sell another unit for less than $2.00, but acting upon the sugges- tion of associates and the requests of present unit- holders I have made a definite allotment of 25,000 units to be offered for popular subscription at $1.25 each. This offer is positively limited to 25,000, and when they are absorbed, no matter whether it is a week or three weeks from this date, another sub- stantial advance in the price of units is guaranteed. Truly, the hour for action is at hand. Under my co-operative ‘‘grubstake” plar the cash proceeds from the 25,000 units offered at $1.25 each will practicaily finance the present immediate de- velopment program. What the price of my units will be when these 25,000 units are absorbed it is difficult to predict. Production in San Saba County or a roaring gush- er in Crane County or a good deal on our Ector County potash lands should increase the value of these units one hundred fold. The hour for action is at hand. Five Months—More Coming This is an immortal trio— Over 50.000 acres of priceless leases. My unique “grubstake” plan of operation and de- velopment. Guided by a man with thirty years’ practical ex- perience in the world’s greatest oil fields. Words are puny things—no mute printed para- graph can convey to you the unlimited, the bound- less possibility for profit in the Texas-Mexia Drill- ing Syndicate. I want you to join hands with me in this epoch- making project. I want you to enlist under my banners today—I want you to avail yourself of this opportunity to buy my units at $1.25 each, I want you to be numbered anrong our sharehold- ers when the next regular monthly dividend checks are mailed. I believe in my heart that I will be able to pay not less than 10 per cent per month from now until Christmas. Then; or maybe before then, perhaps as early as the Fourth of July, I may have completed— A gusher on our 20,000 acres in Crane County— Many producers on our 3,200 acres in San Saba County— A great big well on our 5,000 acres in Kaufman County— A million making deal for our 20,000 acres of potash land in Ecfor County—then— I hope to be able to cut a melon to pay every stockholder hundreds of dollars for every dollar in- vested and I want you with me. I have told you all. I cannot say more. I can only await your reply. Use the coupon—immediately—without delay. Sincerely yours, PAR VALUE, $1.00 EACH FORT WORTH, TEXAS \TFIELD, & M. Tank Bldg., Colonel B. M. Hatfield International Authority on Petroleum Accumulations, Sole Trustee of Texas- Mexia Drilling Syndicate. For the past thirty years I have been ac- tively engaged in cating oil propert and drilling oi! wells in all parts of the world. During this time I have serine eg located and rought in to profitable production many oil fields, My geological re- search work has prac- tically covered the oil fields of the entire world—Europe, Asia, Africa, India, Aus- tralia, Russia, China, Japan, Philippine Islands, Hawaiian Islands, South and Central America, old Mexico and all impor- tant fields in the United States. For the past five rears J have made an intimate study of the oil possibilities in the great state of Texas. I have covered “‘on foot” from end to end, from side to side, back and forth, round and about the state of Texas, exploring and closely examining promising parts of this vast area so that I might intelligently and with absolute con- fidence invite the public to participate with me in the discoveries I have made, and by so doing, make fortunes for themselves and for me.- I have devoted a great deal of time, without any salary what- ever, and havo walked thousands of miles, studying indications of oil aecumulations, which my experience in all parts of the world, taken in relation, one with the other, lead me to believe are just about infallible. Now I am staking my reputation, backed by my experience, up- on my selection of properties now controlled by this company. I believe that I have located and secured acreage that covers the greatest oil pool in the entire United States. I believe, and my experience justifies my belief, that I will open ~up in Crane County, Texas, 2 reservoir of oil greater than any here- tofore penetrated in the United States. Very truly yours, B. Yn. Warp An Empire of Leases Being Developed Under Co-operative Plan Ths Texas-Mexia Drilling Syndicate has been organ- ized under a declaration of trust on file with and recorded by the County Clerk at Groesbeck, Texas, and with my- Ge as sole trustee; and also recorded in Tarrant County, exas. Our Syndicate is divided into 500,000 equal beneficial interests or units with a par value of $1.00 each, fully paid and non-assessable. Of this amount we now offer. for subscription only 25,000 units, at $1.25 each. Our books are open to any and all of the interest hold- ers at any time. A quarterly statement showing the ex- act financial] condition of the Syndicate will be mailed to each interest holder. From any income which the Syndicate may have, 10 per cent will be held as a reserve, and the remaining 90 per cent less actual operating expense will be paid in divi- dends, these dividends to be declared as often as profits are earned. ' These dividends will be distributed on the following plan: The drilling crew that completes the first producer for the Syndicate, thus creating actual values and making possible profits, will receive dividends on the basis of $2,500 worth of units each, and I will receive dividends on $10,000 of the units. The units on which the working members of our or- ganization and I will receive dividends will not be our private property, but will be held in escrow by the bank and we will receive only the profits earned by these units, As more wells are completed and more working memhers of the Syndicate begin to share in the profits, the number of escrowed units on which each will draw dividends will be decreased. The total amount of these escrowed units on which the working members of the organization and I will draw dividends will never be in excess of one-fifth of our total capitalization. This plan—the only one of its kind ever worked out—assures that the investors who furnish the capital and the workers who actually create the values and make possible the profits, will both share in the profits of the Syndicate, and it also assures the quick and continued success of this enterprise, and espe- cially does it insure the maximum of effort and efficiency in operation of the minimum of expense.
