Belief that his Investigations had uncovered a gigantic liquor smuggling ring, operating with San Francisco as @ base, and which imports liquors of choice brand and quality only from Mexico and Canada, was expressed by Federal Prohibition Director E. Forest Mitchell. He is making his inquiry at the instance of Robert H. McCormack, epecial assistant to the United States attorney general. Mitchell last night stated that he had a witness who delivered: liquor to Arbuckle’s suite at the Hotel St. Francis.
