eres PAGE SIX DUNBAR AND CUMMINGS TO MEET AS HEADLINER Local Battlers Matched ON LEGION CARD for Six-Round Legion Smoker Next Tuesday Evening; Other Local Talent Is Recruited Fight fans among ex-service men will be treated to a lively bout when “Lux” Dunbar and Danny Cummings meet at the American Legion smoker next Tuesday night. Dun- bar is giving away 12 pounds to his opponent, but on the basis of past showings his friends believe he will overcome this handicap. The affair will be staged at the big legion @ent where the Happy Kanyon show fy holding forth. Cummings is in good training as the result of several recent bouts and believes he will be in tip-top condi- tion to meet Dunbar. The bout will go six rounds with fighting scheduled to start in the first. The semi-windup will be a fast six- round scrap between Kid Ross and Ray Talbert. Both lads are able to mix it and gloves are expected to fly fast and furious throughout the bout. Promoters of the card are promis- ing a real tussle in a preliminary wrestling match between Tony Wob- linske and Gus Fri. They will go to the mat for a 80-minute or one-fail match. Both will make 190 pounds for the contest. Bill White, for three years undis- puted champion of North Dakota, will meet Bill Kautzer, who hails from the aero service and was known as “The Husky” on account of his rough tac- ties on the mat while in that branch of the service. George McLeod, who is giving his services free in matching the lads for these bouts, is also furnishing the mat and ring paraphernalia. pt torso oo Club Standing | National League. Won. Lost. Pct.
