Mondell: RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE UNITED STATES POSTOFFICH OF THE CITY OF CASPER, W¥0O- MING. Resolved, by the Mayor and Gity Council of the City of Casper, that toe postmaster's request for additional | boxes be granted, and permit us to your attention to the following disagree able situation: Tonight at 5 o'clock at! least forty- five patrons of the Casper postoffice ; were walting in line to be served at the General Delivery’ window. This con- Restion-had existed ever since 4 o'clock. The same condition exists practically every business day in the year and much of the time the congestion is even more pronounced. When consideration is given to the fact that there is only about 712 square feet of open floor space in the lobby of the Postofice building, the amount of inconvenience which this congesticn causes to lock box, drop letter, pareel post, money order and other patrons of the office can readily be realized. Praz- tically all classes of patrons must worm | their way through the waiting lines of General Delivery patrons in order to Bet to the respective departments. It is our opinion that the installation of the 844 lock “boxes for which Postmaster has requisition would eye This congestion approximately per cent. We realize the necessity. the imper tive and abgolute necessity of a new i ih ja -building becomes a reality, so erie must be done to inerease the fa- ies of the Casper postoffice in .or- Fe to enable the department ito give ‘the people the service to which they are rightly entitled.
