Caddock won from Peters in two straight falls, the first at the end of 50 minutes with a half body scissors and bar arm and the second with a head scissors. It took Jack Taylor more than twice that time to down Peters here about a month ago, But Peters was not able to come hack against Taylor whilé with Caddock he came into the ring again} and stood up against the mighty Iowan for 26 minutes longer. These two facts make “the coming proposed match more doubtful as to the outcome in the minds of most Casper sport fans. The result of the match December 20 in the Iris theater with Jack Savage will be watehed: with interest in that it is expected to show whether Taylor is still keeping up his constant habit of improving. Savage is expected to meet Taylor at nearly his own weight. Following this match the cry will be, “On tg Caddock."* INTEREST IN BOXING BOUTS AT LARAMIE Laramie fistic fans are to have san opportunity to see a good boxing bout when Pohnnie Stopper of Denver and Walt Walters of Laramie mix in a ten-round go in the university town December 10, Both are light-weights and manager Griffin is arranging 2 snappy preliminary program to precede the main bout. LARAMIE COACH NAMES ALLSTAR TEAM LATE ‘ Coach E. N. Hitchcock, who coached the runner-up football eleven in. Wy- oming, during the last season, in re- sponse to the request of this depart- ment to name an all-state team sub- mitted a lst Of what he: considered the eleven best players and three substi- tutes, Although this dist did sot Casper until Wednesday it, with few |” exceptions agreed with ‘the team chosen by the Casper Daily Tribune guided by the opinion of three Wyom- ing high school coaches. f Only in naming the guards was there apy wide difference in selections. Coach Hitchcock named Knold of Laramie for right gward and Hobbs of Cheyenne left guard. The all-state team selected has J. Corbett and Les- ter as guards. Coach Hitchock named Corbett, who Played in three different positions dur- ing the season, as center, Abell of Laramie was selected ‘as right end in- stead .of Storey of Cheyenne but Coach Hitcheock recognized the worth of Storey. by naming him as one of three substitutes>: The Laramie, coach also. picket! Sorensen as fullback ‘in- stead of As vo he Cheyenne player being re _to this position on account of the excellent record made by Christian of Sheridan. Sheri- dan was not been in action by Coach Hitchcock and consequently he select- ed no players from the northern eleven. DeForest of Laramie was chosen over Scott as a half back although actual playing. formand ability appeared* to xive Scott the edge, in the opinion of the writer. All four coaches disagreed widely on the two halfbacks, thus making the selection of players for | these positions largely a matter of | equalizing the relative merits of the }- players. Possibly Casper was favored more than necessary in naming both Groves and Scott though Groves was named by two coaches and Scott's record will show that he gained more yardage and scored more touchdowns on long runs than any other half in the state with the exception of possibly a Sheridan Player. Mcleod got up, dazed, and swinging his arms about. It.was while in this halfdazed condition thet -McLeod is reported to have knocked several people down who were standing in the ring.
