PAGE FOUR _ CAT GREEK REPORTS NEW GUSHERL —s Montana Structure Comes in With Production an of 280 Barrels Extends Territory Word received last evening Foi The Tribune’s correspondent in’ the Cat Creek field of Montana states that the Great Western Oil Com- pany, drilling on section 11, northwest of the holdings of the Mi west and Elk Basin, found the sand regular and the well will do 280 barrels per day. This extends the field toward new strike is located close to the féult-) e4 portion between the east and west domes. The area between these two’ structures is thought te be too faulted to be productive. . New Company Enters Fields A new firm that will enter the Wyo-} ming oil flelds the coming spring is| now arranging its offices here in Cas-} per. The company is the Indian Head © Company, and its initial work here ds being looked after by W. A. Berg- Sttom and C. L, Holden, who are in- terested in. the new venture. | The company starts out with some| excellent holdings jover Qe Central Wyoming oil fields. It has three sec- tions in Salt Creek, some tracts onj Pine Mountain that are practically sure to be productive and besides the firm has many other holdings in wildcat ter- ritory. Hamilton. Wells on Pump During the month of November the Western States put two new wells on the pumps at Hamilton dome, and dur- ing this week it is expected that well No. 12 will be drilled in. "These three wells make a considerable increase in the production in Hamilton dome. Con- tracts have been let for two new wells, Nos. 14 and15, the latter having al- ready been spudded in. No. 14 will be spudded in during the next week or ten} days. Dividend Is Declared. McDonnell & Co,, San Francisco Stock and bond brokers, are in receipt of a wire from their. New. York office to the effect that the Lucey Manu- acturing corporation has just declared & quarterly dividend of $1.25.a share on its class “A” preferred stock. ‘This is the stock that is now being offered for sale by McDonnell & Co. at $45 per share, and they state that, ag the divi+ dend is payable holders of record on Dece purchase made on or before De 20 will be entitled to this dividend: Salt Creek Activity Pronounced.” Activity in the southeast end of the} Salt Creek field is pranounged in spite} of the late season. Over on section 16-! 39:78 the Glenrock and Royalty and Producers have spudded in a joint well on the south half of the section, This south half has never had a well coal upon it though just about 100 feet ovet the center line on the north half the same firms have a good well and also ail the way up the west side of this section on.the north half the same firms have several good wells making a nice production. The Royalty and Producers Glenrock are building a home camp near the center of the operations and this is to become one of the best of the small camps in the Salt Creck field. The camp buildings are placed along @ wide street and this street has been named Frank Taylor street. and Glenrock in. Charge of Pilot Butte.
