Be i. ordained by the Mayor and SECTION 1,/- There is hereby created the office of Gas Inspector to be con- ducted under the supervision of the City Engineer. . SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, 2x- cept a_Jicensed master plumber, to en- gage in the gas fitting business in the City of Casper without first haying 3¢- cured from the City Clerk“a gas fit- ter’s license, This section shall not be construed to prohibit a person from do- ing gas fitting, either new or repair work, in or upom his own property, provided such work passes the inspep- tion of the gas inspector. Z SECTION 3. The applicants shalt execute and deliver to the City Cleyk a good and sufficient surety bond in the sum of Five. Thousand Dollars ($5,000). Such bond hai be condition: ed for the protection’ of the City against loss or. damitge by reason of carelessness, defective material or 1feg- nishing such bond. to properly execute and perform and protect any and al gas fitting work: performed by him .or under his supervision during the pe- ridd of such gas fitter’s license, SECTION 4.. Upon the approval ani acceptance of such bond, and the pay- ment of a fee of Fifty} Dollars ($50) to sue to the applicant a gas fitter's li- cense in proper form to engage in the} business of gas fitter for the periol| stated upon such license. All gas “it-| ters’ licenses shall be issued for a pe- | riod of not:more than one year, dating | 3ist day of December of the year in which they are issued, and no: license shall be issued for less than one year, provided that any license which shail be, issued during the calendar year shall expire on December 31 following the date of issuarice thereof. SECTION 5. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm: or corporation to begin any job of gas fitting until the person®so doing has secured from the gas inspector a permit to do said wor's. J order‘ to secure said permit, the gas fitter shall, make a written application upon blanks furnished for that purr pose. Said application shall shaw the name of the owner, or agent of the premises’ where the said work is to be done, the lovation of said premises, the lot, block .and addition, street and number, and the name of the gas fit- tervhaving charge of the work, Also a description of the work to’ be. done, setting forth the number and kind of fixtures already installed and to! be in- stalled, and the applicant shall pay in advance the minimum’ e of $1.50 and 25c for each opening for all open- ings over six in number, ¥ SECTION 6. No, work of any kind shall be permitted upén any gas pipes | Without first securing a permit for su~h | work. ve SECTION 7. It shill be the duty of “ny person, firm or corporation install- ing any gas work to notify the gas in- spector when the work is ready to be tested or inspected. Said. notice must be filed in the office of gas inspec- tor, and such notification must be made at least two hours before the work fs ready for inspection. SECTION 8. If it is necessary for the inspector to make subsequent test. of any piece.of work, the minimum charge shall be made: SECTION 9. Béfore any gas may be turned on to any consumer by the Gas Company, a certificate must be filed by the Gas Inspector with the company stating that this particular work has Passed inspection. © SECTION 10: The following rules miust be explicitly followed by any gas fitters doing any work*within the City of Casper: RULE 1, All service lines ‘must be tested before meter is connected, and if they shew leakage, meters will not be connectéd until line is repaired.
