Kansas has several com-| pletions better than the average for that section. North Louisiana reported ‘the usual number of completions, with! several ketter than 1,000 barrels in the! Claiborne district. The Gulf Coast also) had a gusher in the Hull pool, with moderate sized wells in other sections. There Were no large wells reported from the Oklahoma districts, but mapy average producers with the usual; sprinkling of dry holes and gas pro- ducers. The Gypsy Oil Co. has found oil in its test in Comanche county, near the town of Elgin, and promises to open a new field. The Gypsy and others’ big well, which started at) about 10,000 barrels and then dropped to 200 barrels, started with a sudden flow last week and made above 1,700) barrels for a day or so, and again set-/! tled to 200 barrels. Operations are ac-| tive in the vicinity of the Maramecs big well in Pawnee county, and unmer- ous tests are starting. Dingwall has found a show of oil in a test in Pawnee county, across the river from the Bos-) ton lease, with indications that it will make a producer in the Wilcox sand. | - — PROSPEGTORS: LEASES ON OIL AND GAS LANDS IN STATE ISSUED BY BOARD Cc. ' In nine cases out of ten, says the Diamond Rubbér Co., Inc., the reason ‘s that the brakes do not take holt equally hatd on both wheels. One is looser than the other,, with the result that one @f the wheels spins while thy other grips the road. The tire that spins is worn out as though it was held agaist a grindstone. If the brakes are adjusted so that oth wheels are held the same, neither tire will be subjected to undue s:rain, and moreover there will be much less danger of the car skidding. The vost of having brakes -adjusted properiy is trifling in comparison with the amount AUTO AND TIRE PLANTS BEST GY ULOES To stimulate the growth of your home city add a tire or an automobile factory.
