The well has never been drilled in because of the fact that the company desired to wait until it could be released un- der a leasing law. Recently tanks were put up which will give the Bessemer-Domino a 3,000- gallon capacity for this and any other wells. Besides this the well has been connected with the main Midwest pipe line leading into Casper. The well has been flowing into the tanks for sev-! eral-weeks at the rate of about forty barrels per day, this oil being forced out as the gas accumulated by “heads.” As soon as the well is drilled in the oil will be piped to Casper and mar- keted, instructions having been re- ceived to sell the oil and impound the money less 12 cents a barrel for oper- ating expenses. This is to be done, it is understood, until the lease is signed. Because the Domino-Bessemer well was close to the pipe line and on ac- count of the great danger of spoiling the well by keeping it capped in, this section 10 well was selected as the yfirst in the famous Salt Creek field to be released and now to be drilled in. F. will go to the field to remain until the! ™ work on the well has been completed. | Making Hole Fast. With the McPherson well down over 2,600 feet, good headway is being made now, according to authentic reports. The drillers have met with many dis- couragements in putting the hole down thus far and now that all obstacles) seem to have been overcome, good pues-! ress should noted. | FAIR ASSOCIATION TO HOLD ELECTION FRIDAY The Natrona County Fair associa- tion is scheduled to meet Friday night to elect directors for the ensuing year. ‘Officers will be elected later.
