The Midwest squad of Casper left here June 4 and has been playing the fast teams of Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska ever since, Only three teams, Sterling, Yuma and Scottsbluff, were able to down the men of Arbogast. At that the play- ers think a different tale might: have been told at Yuma and Sterling with real umpiring. At Yuma, the te slept out on one of the front porches of the village and could net stand up against the onslaught of the home tal- ent umpire. Result, 10 to 6; for Yuma. At least that's the alibi. Sterling won the opener, but with Dunlap of Torrington, who officiated in the second game, the players claim they might have copped that opener. Guy Hoffman hurled that game and has unpleasant things to say about the man who chalked up the hits against him. He hurled an errorless contest for six innings. Scottsbluff went out at the start in the opening battle and co@ted = six rungs. It was too big a handicap and Casper lost. n the tour the following teams swallowed Casper’s dust: ‘Torrington, 2; Lingle, 1; Mitchell, Neb., 2; Scottsbluff, ; . It is. hoped that | the balance due will be paid at once in order that the wonk can proceed.
