The No. 2 well of the Western States company in Harris county, Texas, near Houston, has reached a depth of 2,200 feet, This well was spudded in the first part of March and should be finished about the middle of April. In Oklahoma ‘ta the Deer Creek re- gion, the cormpany well ig reported to be making g0od headway at 1,300 feet, with a fine showing of gas. The No. 1 well in the Lance Creek field on sec- tion 25-36-65, southwest quarter, is still idié-on account of thé delay in wait- ing until the cement has set; Drilling is to be resumed Within two weeks or ten days, it is believed, and the indi- eations are for a good producer.
