Active development of these lands will begin this fall. The Texas lands are located in} Coke and Reynolds counties, some of| which is part of the Fargo estate, which has been held for years pend- ing a time when it could be tested} and developed to the best advantage. With the rapid growth and expansion| of the Fargo company, which now has eight producing gas and oil wells in the Poison Spider field, and assur- ances that the corporation could be developed into one of the leading is- sues in the Wyoming field, all thot} of organizing a new company to han-| dle southern properties was abandon-| ed and arrangements have been made} ; 5 : é wo rec bro’ for turning over the leases intact to{ ll in the world was recently ig the Fargo. It is lo- cated on what is regarded as proven territory and another successful com- pletion is only a matter of time. Plans of the company for market- ing its production in Casper are pro- ceeding rapidly as indicated by a pre- vious announcement that eastern cap- italists had secured an option on the gas supply and were negotiating for) material for a pipeline to Casper. Earnings of the E. 'l. Williams Oil company, which have climbed steadily 7 leach month since the bringing in of| its first well in the Salt Creek region, will be given another boost this month by production from the gas reduction plant. The compressor was placed in operation early this month and good results are being obtained. The amount of wet gas produced on the property and which theretofore has been a dead loss is estimated at 750,- 000 cubie feet a day and the reduc- tion of this into gasoline is expected to show net revenues to the company amounting to some $10,000 a month. They predict a coal shortage and high prices with a good chance for a hard winter. Consequently they are urging their patrons to store coal now while it is available and at the present price level. The shortage of coal miners this year and the present strike situa- tion in some parts of the country are the two principal reasons given for a future scarcity and advance in the price of coal. Striking in some regions now will mean that the railroads will be sev- eral months in catching up with their coal shipments. This will result in some cases in throwing much of the present shipping into the fall and jearly win months.
