The Keoug- han-Hurst Drilling company, which hes been active in the Wyoming, Texas and Oklahoma fields, will drill this well, having obtained a 1,600- acre lease from the Roxanna Petro- |leum company, a subsidiary of the Royal Dutch-Shell company. ‘NEW TEST SPUDDED IN ON HORSE GREEK LEASE After sinking into comparative ob- livion for a few weeks, during which many residents of Cheyenne conclud- *d thet the oil excitement at Horse Creek had died down and was over, developments reported this week shed new light on the situation. Another well was spudded in there by the Holm ndicate, still on sec- tion 1. The rig was moved 600 feet north and 600 feet west of the former location, rebuilt, and is to- ay pounding away to the oil believed to bethere. The new hole is already down 125 feet. Ohio to Drill Another story has it that the Ohio ecompany—one of the biggest operat- ing in the state—is also about to drill there. The Ohio has built a spur on the C. & S. at Horse Creek, and sev- eral carloads of material, including rig timbers, casing and other equip- ment are standing on the spur at the Soresent time. = = = = fg’ wich carry conviction.
