Other reports state that the bit is 60 feet in the sand and that the oil from al) appearances is| coming from the sand instead of from above the caprock as formerly re- ported. These reports would indicate the complete failure of the test for while} oil showings were encountered at the extreme depth to which the well was sunk, hopes of shutting off the water have been reduced by recent develop- ments. The test is unfavorable to the eastern extension of the Big Muddy, for which many operators hoped.
