Everybody reads The Tribune. are unwithdrawn, which will be isely developed soon. ——s WATER FLOWING OVER | TIME EXPIRES TOD) CASING FROM JUPITER WELL IN BIG MUDDY The Jupiter well in the eastern end of the Big Muddy field, the status of which has been in doubt for two months since it encountered a flow of water above the oil sand, is flowing a heavy head of water over the casing, according to those who have recently visited the field. Other reports state that the bit is 60 feet in the sand and that the oil from al) appearances is| coming from the sand instead of from above the caprock as formerly re- ported. These reports would indicate the complete failure of the test for while} oil showings were encountered at the extreme depth to which the well was sunk, hopes of shutting off the water have been reduced by recent develop- ments. The test is unfavorable to the eastern extension of the Big Muddy, for which many operators hoped.
