Thermopolis sluggers Sunday after- noon and while the “invincibles” of | the hot springs town are said to be strengthening their aggregation by a weeding out and building up process, | the locals are pounding the ball} around the lot with supreme confi-| dence in their ability to repeat last) Sunday’s performance and force the} short end of the score on the visit- ors. Manager Abrogast has made no announcement as to who will oceupy | the box here, Nelson having handled | a ball last week that injured his hand | and required a rest for a few days, | but he has ample material to hold down the hits and no anxiety is felt in this connection. Rumor has it that the Midwest has another southpaw in training who may spring a surprise on Sunday. In point of interest Sunday’s game} holds no parallel in baseball history | here, resulting largely from last week’s victory after successive de- feats and the fact that Thermopolis had maintained a 1,000 per cent rec-/| ord until they bumped against the Midwest here. Hundreds will be at- tracted from central Wyoming in ad- dition to a big crowd from Thermop- olis, including the special train char- tered by the Elks for Saturday eve- INDIAN SINGER 'AT THE WIGWAM | Silver Tongue, a noted Indian tenor, is entertaining large crowds at the Wigwam every evenin~ from 8 until 11 o’clock, Lest nighh crowd of merry makers yv.s..-- su. Seager DENVER IL MARKET | STRONGER THURSDAY ON | REPORT OF TWO WELLS Cow Gulch led in activity in the Denver oil stock market Thursday. The bid price reached $3.70, a gain from $2.95, the closing bid Wednes- day, and a total advance of $1.40 compared with the low of last week. A persistent demand for Cow Gulch has existed in all brokers’ offices for sevaral days, and they report that only a comparatively small amount of stock has been called out by the rapidly advancing price. The engineers have completed the survey and forwarded their recommendations to Washing- tion for approval. This will make Wheatland the point of intersection | for the Yellowstone Highway and the Denver-Black Hills highway and will bring a great volume of traffic this way. The road from Wheatland to Guernsey will follow the general line of the old road, instead of the later county roads which follow section lines. The old road is shorter and gives a better grade, and that is one of the chief aims of the highway com- mission—to secure the best grades and shortest distances. It will open up a lot of dry ferm country be- tween here and Guernsey with first class roads and be a great benefit to everyone along the line. HOW TO FIGHT SPANISH INFL UENZA (By Dr. L. W. Bowers.) Avoid crowds, coughs and cow- ards, but fear neither germs Germans! Keep the system in good order, take plenty of exercise in the fresh air and pructice cleanliness. Remember a clean mouth, a clean skin, and clean bowels are a pro- tecting armour against disesse. To keep the liver and bowels regular and to carry away the poisons within, it is best to take a vegetable pill every other day, made up of May- apple, aloes, jalap, and sugar-coated, to be had at most drug stores, known as Dr. Pierce’s Pleasant Pel- lets. If there is a sudden onset of what appears like a hard cold, one should go to bed, wrap warm, tzke) a hot mustard foot-bath and drink copiously of hot lemonade. If pain develops in head or back, ask the! druggist for Anuric (anti-uric) tab- lets. These will flush the bladder| and kidneys and carry off poisonous | germs. To control the pains and aches take one Anuric tablet every two hours, with frequent drinks of lemonade. The pneumonia appears| in a most trecherous way, when the influenza victim is apparently re- eevering aud anxious to leave his bed. In recovering from a bad at-| tack of influenza or pneumonia the system should be built up with a good herbal tonic, such as Dr. Pierce’s Golden Medical Discovery, made without alcohol from the roots end barks of American forest trees or his Irontic (iron tonic) tablets, which can be obtained at most drug stores, or send ic to Dr. Pierce's Invalids’ Hotel, Buffalo, N. Y., for trial pacake.—Adv. - : nor New 3-Room Bungalow $150.00 WILL GIVE YOU IMMEDIATE POSSESSION | Has water in kitchen; walls kalsomined and building painted completed; built on a large 50-ft. lot in North Casper; balance payable like rent.
