I practice Chiropractic constantly, how- ss ever, | sometimes use a little medicine as an adjunct to Chiropractic.” Altho I graduated in medicine in 1889, I presume you could term me a sort of latitudinarian, so far as therapeutics are concerned. I endeavor to employ the most effective agent at my command in gaining a desired point; nevertheless, | will state frankly, that if I were confined wholly to one branch of therapeutics, I should choose Chiropractic, unhesitatingly. Almost my first case, after determining to discard medicine and take up Chiropractic, was True Angina Pectoris. The same day I was called in a typhoid case with a temperature of 104 1-8. Consid- ering the frequent sequel in the former, you may imagine that I tackled these cases with some degree of apprehension, and more than often my mind reverted to materia medica, however, I stuck to the Chiro- practic colors, and got convalescence more rapidly by adjustments, than I could have obtained by using drugs. : I have practiced Chiropractic almost exclusively now for two years, and during this time I have never lost a case. (So far this month, I have given 419 adjustments.) I have obtained most won- derful results in both acute and chronic diseases; notably in appendicitis, rheumatism, constipation, stomach'and kidney troubles, goiter, insomnia, anterior poliomyelitis, headaches, and the pelvic dis- eases peculiar to women. I really hesitate to tell you the number of women I have helped to health in the evasion of the surgeon’s knife, thru Chiropractic adjustments alone. Yours very truly, (Signed) R. E. ELLSWORTH, A.
