With holders demanding $1 each for shares of the Atlas Crude Oil company and bidders gradually climbing toward this mark, attention today was centered on a continuation of the spectacular flight started the first of the week and the assets behind a company which has received little or no publicity regarding Lusk operations. The Atlas Crude Oil company has Ste eee Woes E86) ———— RUNAWAY MART 1 HOLDING UP . Advance to 70 Cents Bid and Others Gain. Profit taking, altho entering into the trading on a large scale during the past two days, has merely served to slow up the advance of Lance Creek issues that took flight with the bringimg in of a gusher by the Ohio company on section 3. Atlas Crude Oil Yed the advance Tuesday by the most spectacular climb witnessed in market circles. Starting at something less than 5 cents'six weeks ago, Atlas moved up to 20 cents bid on information re- garding the development of its hold- ings» by the Glenrock and with the bringing in of the new well reached the 30-cent mark. Tuesday morning it changed hands at 32 to 35 cents and in the evening on open call at |the Lyric brokerage stand jumped to sales at 66 to 70 cents. Today it was firm at above the 75 cent mark. Cow Gulch stock offered another sensation, holders setting their own | price for the issue with sales around $3.50. Lusk Royalty and Petroleum continued to gain but Western States, formerly the leader in the Lance Creek freld, was slow at sales around \the $55 mark after having sold at) a high of $59 on Saturday. Tuesday’s market, as were those lof the preceding days, was erratic with a wide range in prices at which {sales were made. The Ohio Oil company on Tues- |day started to move the rig used in| drilling the well on Section 3 of the| Lance Creek field to the west half of |the southwest quarter of the same section, which is under lease to the |Lusk Petroleum company, and will begin drilling as soon as possible. It is said that only one other crude oil comes near this |grade, and that is the Tiona oil of j; western New York, which is in de- mand at $8 a barrel because of its { exceptional lubricating qualities.
