NEW LANGE CREEK WELL LARGEST IN STATE: RIVER OF OIL FLOWS FROM PRODUCER JUST UNCORKED Record of Pioneer Producer Will Be Eclipsed, It Is! Believed, by Strike on Section 3; Oil Follows Exhaustion of Big Gas Flow. Coming unexpectedly, and without arrangements to take care of | the production, the Ohio well on Section 3-35-65 is blowing itself off, with a production that is estimated would be in excess of any well that has ever been brought in, in the state. According to official reports from the Lance Creek field the well had only been drilled into the oil sand about six inches when the oil and gas broke thru, oiling the crown blocks on the top of the derrick about | —————______________ 106 feet above the ground and throw- WILDGAT OPERATION F ing a virtual river of oil over the sur- rounding country. ee The ing for severat & STARTED NORTH 0 the hole indicated that the Ohio com- pany had encountered merely a gas w which tho not assisting in defin- ing the limits would be very accept- ; able to furnish needed fuel to the{ m scores of rigs that are operat- ==, s ing in the field Many officials of the| The Tatman Mountain Oil & Gas company visited the property over a|Company, spudded in Saturday on week ago to be on hand when the | their location one and one half miles wel! came in. Curtis Petroleum Co. Virginian Oil Company Salt Creek Producers Association FORTUNES MADE The Standard Companies, the Texas and the Union Stocks have strengthened tens of millions by this development. The companies leasing to them, the Western States, the Cactus, General Petroleum, Allen, Lusk Royalty, Lusk Petroleum, Cow Gulch, Great Western, Burke Oil and others made millions as indicated by present quotations. Individuals made tens of thousands, as witness our own associates who sold fifty thousand shares of Buck Creek for $20,000, now worth $250,000; an- other ane, an interest in 36 for $17.50, now worth $7,000; a one-sixty-fourth interest in 320 acres for $6,000. One of our partners bought 2,000 shares of Western States for $25.00 and sold it for $16,000. See what it is now worth. a A RR te CAN I GET SOME OF THE MONEY? YES, LISTEN proven. Above profits were made on lands now practically proven by the four wells completed. cf The six big companies and the United States Geological Survey felt certain of this development, as witness the enormous expenditures before production. The fortunes were made by following their lead. \ This last well goes far to guarantee production within the reserve on land that has already been selected by these companies’ geologists for drilling, but HERE IS YOUR CHANCE We own the old 320-acre Joe Hubbard homestead, section 14-35-64, postoffice and stage station in the middle of the reserve and deeded before the United States withdrawal of surrounding land. The United States Geological Survey testifies to its oil character but cannot claim it as they do nearly all the remainder of the field. The Standard Oil Companies believed our land contains oil, even before this last wel! came in nearer to it, because they obtained contro} of the leases ad- joining north, south, east and west. They earned a billion dollars and distributed one hundred million dollars on dividends last year for knowing why. They surround our land as tight as they do the deeded 36 at Salt Creek, where a well on 40 acres, 10 others operating, produced over one and one-half million barrels; as they do the Salt Creek deeded townsite with a single well producing five thousand barrels daily; as they do the Merritt deeded state land at Big Muddy, valued at about $40,000,000; as they do 36 deeded state land producing at Lusk and selling on a basis of more than $5,000 per acre. THE COST $100.00 We platted 40 acres of this homestead into town lots and deeded 80 acres to an oil company, capitalized for $100,000.00. We give you 1,000 shares of this stock and a warranty deed to one of these business lots for $100 in four monthly payments, or $90.00 cash. The townsite is the terminus of the Lusk highway and telephone line to the field. It has the best water supply in the field. Money is being made in busi- ness right there now. A five thousand dollar hotel, machine shops, store and other buildings are being built. It is the natural place for refineries. Within one-half mile a drill has reached a depth of 2,650 feet and from the hole there now issues sufficient gas to burn with a flame. Flattering offers to lease this land for drilling have been refused until the Standard Companies have tested the surrounding land so as to enable us to obtain a greater proportion of the oil.
