(3 FAVORED BY ROAD BOOSTERS Measure to Be Introduced in Next Congress to Receive Support of Many National Organi zations, Claim. WASHINGTON, D. C., April 12.— Many national organizations imteres- td in one way or another in high- ways improvement will support in the next congress what is new known as the Townsend bill. This is evident from the numerous inquiries received by the American Automobile associa- tion from all parts of the country. Directo of Roads J. £, Penny- backer, who recently resigned as chief of management of the U. S. Bureau of Public Roads to devote his energies to A. A. A. highways work, thus outlines the support that system of interstate highways “While it is to be expected that the six million motor car owners in an organized form should contend most vigorously for a system for a maximum Federal concern in roads progress, there are other National as- sociations the members of which ‘have an equally great interest in highways improvement. “With the road user, the road builder, the food producer, and big business coming together in the in- terest of a soupd National policy toward highways, it cannot be doubt- ed that tangible results clearly in the interest of the public welfare would result. “There has recently bgen a get- together “movement of the Nationa] bodies identified with memorial and interstate highways resulting in the formation of the Associated High- ways of America. These co-ordinat- ing agencies will undobutedly sit in when the National bodies seek to smooth out their differences at a common table, so to speak, to end that congress may know just where the thoughtful men of Amer- ica stand on this fundamental ques- tion of highway improvement. “It is not propaganda, primarily, but counsel which is, needed at this stage. It is the time for get@ing down to brass tacks, with each organi- zation speaking as a whole for all the interests of all its constituents and in a spirit of co-ordinating thei interests with those of the other bodies invilved.” TWO BILLION Ss OVIET NOTE. HELSINGFORS.—The production of Soviet banknotes exceeded $2,- 500,000,000 worth monthly, Lenine told the All Russia Trade Union Congress. = FIGHT IN LONDON (By United Press.) LONDON, April 10.—Tommy No- ble, English bantam c! Seaman Walter Ross, Scotland, in a twenty round contest at the National Sporting club here on the 14th. ‘No- ble was recently defeated by Joe Lynch, of New York. ——————————————EE NOTICE BY PUBLICATION® State of Wyoming County of Natrona In the District Court, Sixth Judicial District.
