All stores and amusement places will close’ during the hours named in the months of August and September and the first clean-up day, according to the proclamation, was inaugurated this week. The proclamation sets forth the fact that it is the part of patriotic duty to keep the town and community in a sanitary, healthful and sightly condition despite the fact that war demands have depleted the supply of labor to the minimum.
