, 1918 <== FRIDAY, JULY 19 Yclock is the dead-line for WF wie DISTRIBUTED IN GARDEN CONTEST Winners Announced by Council of Defense Chairman, After Sur- vey of Results During the Past Week Aided by all the powers cf nature and much careful attention the war gardens planted and tended by the hool children of Casper have grown and prospered in such a manner that judging which gardens are better than the others has been no small job, but the committee appionted by Mrs. Henry A. Johnson, chairman, for this purpose has awarded the prizes, which are various numbers of thrift stamps, the total amount distributed being $40.00. The committce consists of C. M. Hawke, Mrs. Alex Weber, Mrs. Wal- ter King, R. L. Carpenter. and Ag- riculturel Agent John C. ,Hayes. Those who won prizes may secure the stamps by calling at Mrs. Henry A. Johnson’s at 745 South Beech street.
