By the close of this year it is ex pected that the daily production in Wyoming will be 100,000 barrels a day. Present indications point to a production of about 15,000,000 bar- rels in Wyoming in the present year. ¥n 1918 production of more than 30,- 000,000 barrels is indicated Development of the oil fields in Wyoming has shown marked progress in the last yes In 1916 only a little} more than 6,250,000 barrels were pro- duced. The output of the wells February of last year was 2! barrels. In December of the same year the monthly total had grown to 630,000 barrels, Most of the early production of the state came from the Salt Creek field, which has proved one of the best in the country in the ability of its wells tc maintain production over long per- iods. The Wall Creek sand in the Salt Creek field has be one of the best deep oil sands known, The same Wall Creek sand was discovered in the Big Muddy field by the Merritt company, which} has brought in the biggest wells in Wyoming. Salt Creek field is marketing more than 20,000 barrels a day and has shut-in. Eik Basin is yet 16,000 barrels running 7,000. barrels a day to the re- finery at Greybull and has 2,800 bar- rels shut-in; Grass Creek rels a day run, 6,Q00 to Greybull and 1,000 to € ham, Big Muddy is pro- ducing se al thousand barrels, which is being run to the Midwest re- finery at Casper Most of the im- portant wells completed in Wyoming recently have been in the Big Muddy field, where the Merritt company, it is expected, will develop a daily pro duction in 20,000 barrels ess of — R, G.
