He said that a| , crowd of men was trying to kill him. He was armed with a repeating rifle, & double barreled shotgun and a re- volver, Mr. Murphey saw that the man was crazy. He set his music box going while s young man in the house emptied McGeorge’s two guns Then the insane man began flourish- ing a pistol The family left the house and Murphy telephoned for the police, The city marshal, constable aad several others arrived svon. The constable opened the front door and tried to coax McGeorge to lay down his revolver. Instead McGeorge snap- ped his weapon twice at the officers, but the cartridges failed to explode. Then he fired two bulletsinto his own head. He died at midnight.
