Moved a Church 42 Miles. | Peck, Kan., Feb. 27.—The Metho diste here have moved a church from Andale, Reno county, a distance of | forty two miles, to thisplace. It was known as the Autioch church, and had been erected at a time when Methodists were numerous in the vicinity of Andale Gradually that part of the county became settled by Germans rho were not Methodists. They bought the land from the for- mer owners, until there were not enough Methodists to form a con- gregation. Many of these moved to Peck, and the result was that their church, steeple and all, followed them. It wasset uponits new founda- tion here this week. It was moved theentire distance in eight days. Not a window light was broken. Born Before Revolution. Chicago, Feb. 27 —Sophia Gab, whose birth antedates the Revolu- tionary War, if her assertions were correct,-and who was supposed to have been the oldest woman in Chi- cago, is dead at the Home for Aged and Infirm Colored People. She was 129 years old. According to the aged woman’s statements, she was bora in Virginia in 1775, before the Declaration of In- dependence. She lived onthe planta- tion where she was born until freed by the proclamation of President Lincoln, GOOD SPIRITS. Good spirits don’t all come from Kentucky. Their main source is the liver—and all the fine spirits ever made iu the Blue Grass State could not remedy a bad liver or the hun- dred-and-one ill effects it produces, Ycucau’t have good spirits anda bad liver at the same time. Your liver must be in fine condition if you would feel buoyant, happy and hope- ful, bright of eye, light of step, vigor- ous and successful in your pursuits. You can put your liver in fine condi- tion by using Green’s August Flower —the greatest of all medicines forthe liver and stomach and a certain cure for dyspepsia or indigestion. It has been a favorite household remedy for over thirty-five years.
