Paintaville, Ky., June 17.—A sen- sational case was witnessed in the Floyd Circuit Court this morning when Washington Craft, the primi- tive Baptist minister on trial for the murder of Lindell Higgins, 14 years ago, confessed to two other murders. When the aged minister took the stand he stoutly denied the murder of Higgios, claiming tbat he was 40 miles away at the time of the crime. Upon cross examination he kroke down and confessed that he killed his uncle, Wiley Craft and Wm. Cook, 15 years ago. His name had been connected with these crimes, but his confession was the first posi- tive evidence. Although likely to be acquitted of the murder of Higgins, he will be held for the other crimes.
