Holmes, the convicted multi murder er, was fixed by Governor Hastings today. Henames Thureday, May 7 as the day. The decision of the Supreme court affirming the judg- ment of the lower court, was receiv ed at the executive department this afternoon and was immediately laid before the Governor by Secretary Beitler. The Governor thought that Holmes should have at least sixty jdays in which to prepare for death and selected the time accordingly. The death warrant was at once pre- pared and forwarded to Sheriff Clement at Philadelphia. Two Lives Saved.
