But the Lord only knows where those coons are by this time. The stolen goods con- sisted principally of cigars, tobacco, etc., etc., articles easily disposed of. —Review. The Racket Store Can and will undersell any house in the county on first-class boots and shoes. Our warrant on this class of goods will be made good and no grumbling. Mrs. Kennett informs us that Mrs Alice Gathright is in St. Louis buy- ing their fall and winter stock of millinery. The new goods will ar- rive and be placed on exhibition the last of this week. Mrs. Kennett ex- pects to purchase a handsomer and more costly line of goods than ever before and invites the public to call and inspect them. Farmers, Lane has made a call for three hundred thousand dozen eggs at 15 cents. Miss Addie Rogers, the Milliner who has rented the corner room of the new building on the former Opera House site, will take posses- sion this week. On the 4th and 5th Miss Rogers will have agrand open- ing of her millinery goods at which all the latest designs and styles of the season will be displayed. Patterson, widow of the late alexander Patterson, died at her home southwest of this city, on Thursday morning and was bur- ied Friday. Funeral services were conducted from her late residence by Rev. W. A. Walker, former pas- tor of the C. P. Church, and the re- mains followed to the cemetery by a large concourse of friends. Mrs. Patterson was 63 years of age. She was born in Louisville, Ky., and re- moved to Ills. with her parents when but eight years of age. She resided there until married when she and her husband removed to Bates county and located on a farm adjoin- ing Butler where she has resided continuously since, except three years during the war. Mrs. Patter- son was a member of the Christian Church, a devout christian lady, well loved by all who knew her. She was the mother of five children, three of whom are now living.
