The counterfeiters have been captured, but this does not seem to stop the work of counter- feiting as the plates are still in the hands of “professionals.” It is said to be the most dangerous counter- feit bill in circulation. The note is so true to the genuine currency that ithas frequently slipped through the hands of bank tellers and found a resting place in the big vaults be- m side the genuine notes. The gov- ernment secret service is straining every nerve to capture the plate, but it is skillfully defended.
