HASELTINE, PAT SOUCITORS ATTY ATLA, od “tt Saved My Life” Is a common expression, often heard from those who have realized, by per- sonal use, the curative powers of Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral. **I cannot say enough in praise of Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral, be lieving as I do that, but for its use, I should long since have died from lung troubles. — E. Bragdon, Palestine, Tex. About six months oe I oe peerre Hemorrhage of the Lungs, brought on bya distressing Cough, which deprived me of sleep and rest. I had used vari- ous cough balsams and expectorants, without obtaining relief. A friend ad- vised me to try Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral. I did so, and am happy to say that it helped me at once. By continued uso this medicine cured my cough, and, I am satisfied, saved my life.— Mrs. E. Coburn, 18 Second st., Lowell, Mass. I have used Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral for over a year, and sincerely believe I should have been in my grave, had it not been for this medicine. It has cured me of a dangerous affection of the lungs, for which I almost despaired of ever finding a remedy.—D. A. McMullen, Windsor, Province of Ontario. Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral saved my life. Two years ot took a very severe Cold which settled on my lungs. I consulted physicians, and took the remedies they prescribed, but failed to obtain relief until I began using Ayer’s Cherry Pec- toral. Two bottles of this medicine completely restored my health. — Lizzie M. Allen, West Lancaster, Ohio. >Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral, Pre; by Dr. J.C. Mr. Journey !aid a number ot the Bates County Standard on our table this week, bearing day of May 22d, 1860. We found it very interesting, as it was printed at the beginning of the turbulent times that culmina ‘ted in the rebellion. Abraham | Lincoln bad just been nominated by | the republican convention at Chicago as candidate for president. and an easy victory was predicted for his conservative opponent. Stephen A. | Douglass, who was the recognized democratic candidate although they had not yet held their convention. | The number contains many interst- ing sketches to which time has lent additional charms. West Point had just held an enthusiastic R. R. meet- ing. A copious shower of rain had fallen the preceding Sunday, over which the people were rejoicing, st being the first for many weeks. The question of dividing the county was then being discussed. The Standard, judging trom the number betore, was a bight, newsy sheet, fully up to the standard of today. Time indeed works won ders and its dett fingers have not been idie in this county since that date, The county has been diyided, railroads have been built ; the county seat of the new county of Bates has been established at Butler; people have come and gone, forming a part ot its society tor a while and then dropping out, their places being filled by others. So great has been the change that few, it any, of the names that figures in its local or ade vertising columns can be found in that place now.—Foster Free Press. The huge, drastic, griping, sick ening pills are fast being superseded by Dr. Pierce’s ‘Purgative Pellets.’ Sold by druggists. There will not be a single Robin- son in the Fiftieth congress. One member is White, another Brown, while still another is Gray. ‘The greatest variety of temper and dis- position is represented. One man 1s Gay, another Bland, another Crisp, another Wise. One is Long and one 1s Hale. There should be no danger of the Fiftieth congress starv- ‘ng, for there are to be tound in it Oates, and Rice and Bacon; not to mention a big Cobb in the house, a well-developed Berry in the senate, and one Hogg. eee Young or middle-aged men suffering from nervous debility er other delicate diseases, however induced, speedily and permanently cured.
