Marshal Hopgood, who went to Butler several days since to bring a horse thief to this county for prose- cution, that had been captured at Rich Hill, and who had stolen the animal from Thos. Elder it seems, had found his horse in pos- session of parties in Rich Hill to whom Thomas had sold him, and on this ground the refusal to turm him over was made.
