Huddleson, who is stationed at San Diego with the U. 8. marine corps, telephoned that he had been ordered to accompany the detachment sailing for Shanghai this Miss Pierce arrived in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon. * * * Ole Olsons Feted on Wedding Anniversary Surrounded by their nine children, former Gov. Ole Olson and Mrs. Olson were honored Sunday at a surprise anniversary party in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary at their farm home six miles northwest of New Rockford. Approximately 225 friends from all over the state gathered at the Olson home at 2:30 p. m., to extend their good wishes to the couple. Leeds, Valley City, New Rockford, Grand Forks, Anamoose and Bismarck were represented. A sister of Mrs. Olson from Ws was present for the occasion. It was the first time the sisters had seen each other for 25 years. Miss Inga Olson, their daugh- ter, who is at home for a month’s vacation from Washington, D. C., was present. A son had come from Jamestown. The seven others live near or with their parents. Refreshments, which had been: brought by the neighbors who planned the celebration, were served cafeteria style.
