4 SO0PERSONS VIEW | WORK BEING DONE BY STATE ARTISTS Soulpture, Painting, Ink and Pencil Exhibits Among Displays at Capitol That the state artist exhibit offers ® “marvelous opportunity to bring to the public what is being done by North Dakota artists,” is the opinion of Prof. Paul E. Barr of the Univer- sity of North Dakota art department. The exhibit, the first annual com- petitive one to be held in the state, opened Wednesday at the hearing room at the capltol, ‘That there is! much interest was evidenced by the fact that over 300 people visited the exhibit Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. P. T. Boleyn, Fargo, and Russell Reid are state chairmen of the committee in charge. Exhibits from seven cities of North Dakota, including those from the North Dakota Agricultural college and the University of North Dakota, are on display.
